Food Safety

Safety Cornwall is the leading provider of food hygiene and food safety advice and consultancy throughout the County and beyond.

We have a team of food safety / food hygiene advisers and consultants, all of whom are professionally trained, qualified and very experienced food safety practitioners.

We provide professional support and advice to the food retailing and catering sectors. This includes in particular, installation of food safety management systems such as 'Safer Food Better Business' (SFBB) and/or the development of HACCP procedures according to the particular needs of the food business operation.

Safety Cornwall is currently providing support to retail and catering food businesses, following the initiative by Cornwall Council EHOs to introduce the 'National Food Hygiene rating Scheme' (1 to 5 star rating for your food business).

Safety Cornwall assists food manufacturers and processors to achieve and maintain formal Approval of certain food processes according to the requirements of local council EHOs.

Safety Cornwall enables food producers, manufacturers and processors to achieve and maintain industry accreditation, eg:

BRC accreditation (we are currently assisting companies to upgrade to the Global Sandard - Version 6)
SALSA
Natures Choice and other farm-assured standards for primary producers
